Overview
Treat Yourself ("we", "us") operates the Treat Yourself mobile application (the "App") and a companion web dashboard for therapists. This policy describes what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
We collect the minimum information needed to deliver guided exercise programs and let you track your progress.
- Account information: if you sign in, we store your email address and authentication identifiers from Google Sign-In, Apple Sign-In, or email/password sign-up.
- Health and exercise data: the body regions you select, exercise sessions you complete, daily check-ins about pain and recovery, and education modules you view. This data is stored locally on your device first, then synced to our backend if you have an account.
- Subscription information: if you purchase a subscription, our billing partner RevenueCat processes the transaction. We do not store payment card details.
- Diagnostic data: crash reports and basic analytics events (e.g., which screens you visit, which features you use) that help us improve the App.
How we use your information
- To deliver exercise programs and track your progress.
- To sync your progress across your devices and (if you choose) share it with a therapist who has accepted your share code.
- To process subscription payments and manage entitlements.
- To diagnose crashes and improve the quality of the App over time.
- To send transactional notifications (e.g., session reminders you opt into).
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your health or exercise data for advertising.
Sharing with therapists
You control whether a therapist can view your progress. To share, you generate a 6-character code in the App and give it to your therapist. They claim it via our web dashboard. Sharing is read-only — the therapist can view your sessions, adherence, and check-ins but cannot modify your data. You can revoke access at any time from the App.
Third-party services
We use the following providers to operate the App. Each handles your data under its own privacy policy.
- Supabase — backend database and authentication hosting.
- RevenueCat — subscription billing and entitlements.
- Mixpanel — product analytics (which features are used).
- Sentry — crash and error reporting.
- Google Sign-In and Apple Sign-In — optional authentication.
- Apple App Store and Google Play — app distribution and in-app purchase processing.
- Vercel — hosting for our web dashboard.
Data retention
We keep your data while your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your personal information from our systems within 30 days, except where retention is required for legal or accounting purposes (e.g., transaction records).
Your rights and choices
- Access and deletion: you can request a copy of your data or ask us to delete it by emailing the address below.
- Local-only use: you can use the App without creating an account. In that case, your data stays on your device and is not synced to our backend.
- Notifications: reminders are opt-in. You can disable them at any time from your device settings.
- Sharing: you can revoke a therapist's access from the App at any time.
Children's privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be communicated in the App.
